- Feed fresh multiple times throughout the day. Do not "top off". Encourage a daily plan of specific individual mealtimes.
- Offer as much as your bird will eat (without wasting).
- Weigh birds daily using a gram scale during any diet change. Never starve a bird.
- Monitor stools for frequency and consistency until conversion is complete.
- Follow up with annual checkups with an avian veterinarian.
